Round trip water taxi is included in the rental price.

Additional water taxi trips are $60 for the 40 minute round trip (from Thors Cove to Okeover Wharf to Thors Cove to Okeover Wharf) or $80 per hour.

Travel Time: 10 minutes each way aboard the "Francis".

Distance from Okeover Inlet Wharf to Thors Cove: 7 miles.

Distance from Penrose Bay, Okeover Inlet (home of Powell River Sea Kayak) to Thors Cove: 6 miles.

Pick Up & Return Time to Okeover Inlet Wharf: to be arranged with guests' schedules.

Check Out time is 10 AM / Check In time is 4 PM

Please note: to allow cleaning of cottage after previous guests, a 6 hour lag period has been established. On your first day of arrival if you arrive before the 4 pm check in time, you will be welcome to put your gear in the cottage and use the gazebo & grounds but you can't take possesion of the cottage until it is cleaned.

  • It's a short boat ride from Okeover Inlet Wharf to Thors Cove. Our water taxi is an 18 foot aluminium boat with a 115 HP engine that will accommodate up to 6 passengers and is fully equipped with marine safety gear. For more than 6 guests a second return trip is required. The charge is $60 for return trip or $80 per hour.
