  • Minimum 2 day rental, based on 4 person occupancy. Over 4 people, the charge is $10 for each additional person (including children). Cottage will sleep 7 to 8 people.

  • At time of booking, we require a 2 day deposit per week booked. This deposit will be refunded if cancellation notice of 30 days is given, less a $25 administration fee.
    A damage deposit of $200 is required on day of arrival of renting the cottage.
    Deposit Payment Options: We welcome payment by mail in Cheque or Money Order, balance to be paid by Cash or Cheque (US Dollar exchange at current bank rates.)
    My small rental business is very seasonal and due to the high fees charged by the credit card companies, I no longer accept credit cards. Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.

  • Peak Season: June 1 to September 7: $350 for 2 night rental or $1150 per week

  • Low Season: September 8 - May 31: $300 for 2 night rental or $900 per week

  • Check in time: 4 PM
    Check out time: 10 AM
    We are flexable with our times to allow guests to connect with ferries. If you arrive before 4 PM you will be welcome to use the gazebo and grounds, but possession of cottage is only after it is cleaned.

Additional Services

Wharf Usage:

  • Rental of Thors Cove Cottage includes useage of the 20 ft wharf. One berth for a 20 ft boat is included in the rental price. The wharf is also used by two other households and Thynne Island Shellfish Farm. During your stay at Thors Cove Cottage you will be welcome to use the wharf, ramp and landing, but please keep areas clear for others to use.

Additional Guest Boats:

  • You are welcome to moor in the cove but if you use the grounds and facilities provided at the cottage, the charge is $15 per day per person, no exceptions. If your boat is not equipped with a holding tank you can't dump your head in the cove or the surrounding inlets as there are two shellfish farms in Thors Cove.

Parking:

  • Secure parking – two minutes from Okeover Wharf at Justus Storage, Malaspina Road. Contact Bill & Lola Dekourt at (604) 483-4506 for more information.
    Fee is $3.00 per day

  • Free parking is available above the wharf at the top of Crowther Road and Malaspina Road junction.
