in the woods. Thors Cove Cottage is situated in a grassy waterfront
clearing surrounded by towering alders and fir trees. The cottage is solar
powered, a renewable energy source which has a low environmental
impact. The cottage is suitable for active couples, groups of friends and families
with older children,
yachters and kayakers, seminars or retreats. The cottage is fully equipped
for self catering.

Thors Cove Cottage is accessable by water, with no paved roads to the cove. We offer a round trip water taxi service (15 minutes each way) leaving from Okeover Inlet Wharf. If you wish to come to Thors Cove on your own, kayak or boat rentals can be arranged for you. Boats can be rented and launched from Okeover Inlet or Lund. There is protected moorage in Thors Cove, Lancelot Inlet.

Thors Cove is just east of Desolation Sound Marine Park, the world famous boating destination. Thors Cove Cottage is also located beside Thynne Island Seafoods Shellfish Farm, home of Award Winning Oysters. Farm Tours with sampling or a West Coast Shellfish feast are available with advanced notice.

activities in Thors Cove range from hiking or biking (4 adult bicycles provided)
into Theodosia Valley, swimming and beach combing in Thors Cove, boating
and observing loons, herons, bald eagles and marbled murrelets in Okeover,
Lancelot & Theodosia Inlets, playing croquet, horseshoes or badminton on
the lawn, enjoying sunsets from the gazebo or just hanging about in a hammock
by the sea, far from the maddening crowds! |
